Last July, Abi attended the Workshop on Algorithms in Bioinformatics 2025 (WABio 2025) at Cinvestav Irapuato.
There, she had the opportunity to engage with researchers working at the interface of computer science and biology, exploring new computational methods for analyzing biological data. This experience broadened her perspective on how algorithms can help address complex problems in genomics and microbial systems—key themes for our lab’s work.
